THE PARK GLEN PTA BOARD

WELCOME FROM OUR PTA PRESIDENT

Welcome to the Park Glen PTA! My name is Dallas Ovalle, and I’m honored to serve as your PTA President this year. Our PTA is built on one simple idea: when families, teachers, and staff work together, students win. Every program, every event, and every dollar raised goes right back into creating a stronger, more connected school experience for our kids.

This year, you’ll see opportunities to get involved at every level—whether it’s volunteering at an event, joining as a member, or simply showing up and supporting your child’s school community. No contribution is too small, and every bit of involvement makes a real difference.

We’re proud of the community we’re building at Park Glen, and I look forward to what we’ll accomplish together. Let’s make it a great year—Cheetah Strong, All Year Long!

The Heart Behind Park Glen PTA

The Park Glen PTA board is comprised of elected volunteers who want to use their personal and professional expertise to help further the PTA through the various responsibilities that the position requires. If you want to volunteer or help out with any of these positions, we would love for you to join a committee!

Dallas Ovalle

PTA President

Directs the affairs of the Park Glen PTA in cooperation with the PTA Board and PGE Staff.

Kelly Dodd

1st VP - Programs

First aide-to-the President. Coordinates various programs and events to support students, families and the school.

Chessa Weeks

2nd VP - Membership

Second aide-to-the President. Implements strategies and events to recruit and establish an active PTA membership.

Laurie Weeks

3rd VP - Fundraising

Third aide-to-the President. Establishes fundraising goals for the school year. Helps plan and coordinate various fundraising events and initiatives to help support academic enrichment programs and PTA events.

Alison North

4th VP - Volunteers

Third aide-to-the President. Organizes volunteers; mentors and guides room parents with organizing PGE events in class parties.

Laura Torres

Secretary

Third maintains PTA records and presents PTA meeting minutes to the PTA Executive Board and larger PTA general membership.

KC Vasquez

Treasurer

Maintains PTA funds and financial records, receives and disburses all PTA monies.

Racheal Ross

Parliamentarian

Advises the board and members on matters of parliamentary procedure, and serves as a consultant, especially in meetings.

Advocacy

Identifies policy issues of interest, informs the membership, and advocates for policies aligned with Texas PTA's legislative
priorities.

Angela Souder

Special Projects

Supports school-wide events and signature experiences like the Homecoming Float, Grandpals Day, Tip Top Holiday Shop, and other family engagement nights.

Patricia Lewis

Hospitality

Plans and organizes various teacher appreciation events and luncheons throughout the year including teacher appreciation week in May, by coordinating food, decorations and volunteers to ensure that all teachers, staff and attendees feel appreciated.

Lennon Hidell

Math Enrichment

Coordinates Cheetah Math, a voluntary monthly math program sponsored by the PTA.

Brillante Alba

Reading Enrichment

Coordinates Reading Olympics, a year-long voluntary reading program sponsored by the PTA.

Megan White

Student Publication

Coordinates the submissions and publication of the Park Glen Press, a voluntary writing enrichment program sponsored by the PTA.

Jannet Dominguez

Arts in Education

Promotes student engagement in arts by coordinating activities such as the annual National PTA Reflections program, PGE Art Night and 4th Grade Recording Studio Project.

Genny Perez

Yearbook

Oversees the creation and production of the school yearbook, coordinating photos, layouts, volunteers, and vendors to meet deadlines. Meets frequently with the student yearbook club and helps preserve the year’s memories for students and families.

Social Media

Manages the PTA’s social media and website, sharing updates and event information with families. Creates and schedules content while working with board members to keep the school community informed and connected.

Matt Brown

Historian

Preserves the PTA’s events and achievements throughout the year by collecting photos and records. Creates the annual “brag book” highlighting key activities and accomplishments.

Campus Liaison

Belinda Nesbitt

Serves as the teacher representative on the PTA board, acting as a liaison between school staff and the PTA. Fosters clear communication and collaboration to support students and families.

Roberto Torres

Watch D.O.G.S

Watch D.O.G.S. is a volunteer program where fathers and male role models support the school by helping with campus needs, assisting staff, and engaging positively with students. They also care for school grounds and facilities while reinforcing a visible, supportive presence that strengthens safety, pride, and connection across the campus.
